A great way to gain a rich perspective on all the cultural happenings in France is a website called "Culture Box" offered by French public television network France 3.
The site offers a vast and varied set of short clips on all aspects of art, music, theatre, literature, design and dance. Even if you don't speak any French, I'm sure you'll find lots to love on Culture Box (and lots of ideas for venues you might want to explore in your spare time in Paris).
